For this two-hour course, you will have one hour of required welder safety instruction. We provide safety equipment and materials for all participants. Afterwards, we will explain the MIG equipment, setting up the controls and system, and the MIG welding process. Then you get to apply your new knowledge while welding your metals--you will get to take home your masterpiece!
MIG welding, also known as Metal Inert Gas is a semi-automatic or automatic process that uses a continuous wire feed as an electrode and an inert or semi-inert gas mixture to protect the weld from contamination. This is typically done for applying metal in production environment and many other larger projects because it's a fast process.
We will also host an "Intro to ARC Welding" workshop on this date for a pm session (1:00pm-3:00pm), you are welcome to attend both as the safety instruction will be different. These are $85 each, but if you take both we are running a special for 2 for $135. Call us at 313-221-5876 to sign up! We've also made tickets available at your convenience online.
