Blight Removal Training Program

blight noun. the process whereby a previously functioning part of the city falls into disrepair and decrepitude. Also known as urban decay.

Detroit Training Center offers students a way into the blight removal industry through this program. This is a dramatically growing industry, especially in Detroit, Flint, Saginaw, and Pontiac because many houses are in need of lead and asbestos abatement for renovation. The courses selected for this program prepare the worker for the rigors of the job. Most of all, we provide them with the licensing, credentials, and soft skills needed to succeed in this particular workplace. As a result, we are able to help with job placement for our graduates!
